When you are going to buy toys for your children, there will be a lot of things that you need to be considered.

If you do not choose it carefully and wisely, it will endanger your children. For instance, you child may be choked with their toys or got injured or even pose a risk of disease in the long term as a result of exposure to dangerous chemicals contained in toys.

There are 21 kinds of educational toys were tested by YLKI that might be surprised you. YLKI tested various educational toys, from the abacus, color measuring beam, train, to the puzzle.

Some of the samples taken are toys imported from China, Israel, and even the United Kingdom. The result findings are very shocking, apparently, these toys contain some harmful chemical substances that can jeopardy the health of our children. Some of the toys contain lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd), chromium (Cr) and some of the toys even contain asbestos.

You can imagine how dangerous it is if your children put these toys into their mouth. It will give peril your children's health. They can get diarrhea, fatigue, even depression.

There are also long-term effects of this dangerous substance exposure. These toys can harm your children body organ. The toxic toys will damage the central nervous, heart, causing kidney failure, lung cancer and may lead to death.

You have to pay attention to these several products which aimed to children. The products are eraser, markers, and crayon.

Crayons suspected to contain heavy metals and asbestos. In the long run, it may lead to irregularities in the brain, nervous system, and metabolism, which can lead to cancer.

The bad news is ink solvent in the marker also contains xylene which can cause nervous disorders if someone inhaled it in large quantities.

Finally, in 2009, PentaBDE and OctaBDE have entered the list of chemicals to be eliminated globally agreed under the Stockholm Convention. But the agreement still allows the recycling of materials containing these toxic chemicals by 2030.
